The WebLink Branding Utility allows you to include your company's logo in the user interface.
This logo of your choice is shown in the splash screen, the banner area at the top of the WebLink user interface, and other locations.
To launch the Branding Utility, open a web browser and enter the following URL:
http://[IP address]/app/brandutility/
Important: The IP address must match the IP address of your reader. The IP address shown above is only an example.
You can also launch the Branding Utility by clicking WebLink Branding Utility in the Application Settings menu. This will open the Branding Utility dialog shown here:
Enable branding by checking the Enable Branding box.
You can verify that branding is enabled in WebLink by loading it in another browser tab. You will see the "generic logo company" image on the splash screen and banner.
To change the logo, click the Load a new image button. Browse and select your logo image file (.png preferred). Once selected, the Image Preview area will update as shown below.
Refresh WebLink and your logo will now appear in the splash screen.
Your logo will also appear on the banner to the left of the Microscan WebLink logo.
You can also specify a URL to launch in a new window whenever your logo in the banner area is clicked. This URL can either launch a web page (e.g. http://www.microscan.com) or open a new email message (e.g. mailto:youremail@yourcompany.com).
Your branding information can be saved as a local .json file to be loaded to other readers. To save the configuration, click Save to local branding file.
This will open a File Save dialog. Save the file with a descriptive filename such as branding.json.
To load the branding file to another reader, open the Branding Utility on the new reader.
Important: The IP address of the new reader will be different than the IP address of the first reader. Remember to match the IP address in the URL with the IP address of the new reader.
http://[other IP address]/app/brandutility/
Open the Branding Utility on the new reader, enable branding, and load the saved file by clicking Load an existing branding file.
Repeat this procedure for any additional readers requiring branding.
