Read Cycle Setup

Setting up read cycle and triggering parameters involves a series of decisions based on the particular application, as follows:

• Select the number of symbols to be read in a single cycle.

• Decide on the trigger type to be used: if serial, choose a serial character; if external, choose either External Level or External Edge.

• Designate how the read cycle should end (Timeout, New Trigger).
